Massage plays an integral role in
supporting patient recovery.
Motor Vehicle Accidents
Being in an auto accident, or any type of accident, can be a very traumatic experience. In addition to physical pain, a lot of patients also experience emotional trauma. Some of our clients report a sense of hopelessness, anger, and become frustrated with the slow recovery process. The road to recovery can be very long for some people; months and even years in some cases. When a client starts to feel the benefits of their treatments, sometimes in just one or two sessions, it can give them a fresh outlook on their progress.
Increasingly, the medical community is recognizing massage therapy as an effective complementary treatment for a range of accident-related injuries. As a result of trauma, patients may experience significant inflammation, soft tissue damage, and loss of musculoskeletal flexibility.
During recovery, massage helps to relieve bands of rigid, painful tissue that form as a result of trauma or post surgery scar tissue. These adhesions cause pain, stiffness, reduce flexibility, and may also block nutrients and oxygen from circulating optimally.

These adhesions can cause incredible pain, stiffness, reduce flexibility, and may also block nutrients and oxygen from circulating optimally. Orthopedic massage can help restore function and structural balance throughout the entire body, facilitating the healing process to reduce recovery time.
Does insurance cover MVA's?
Most motor vehicle accidents will be covered under your auto insurance as a personal injury. Check with your insurance company to find out if there are any restrictions or limitations to the kind of care they will reimburse. You pay for your sessions, and then submit the paperwork for your insurance company to reimburse you.
A physician's diagnosis and referral is required for all motor vehicle accident, workman's comp, and personal injury cases.
Health Savings Account (HSA) cards are accepted. Please inquire prior to your first appointment.
I do not bill health insurance.
